As protective agents, we help owners and operators supervise the charterers’ agency function and monitor port call operations. We protect vessel owners’ & operators’ interest locally during a port call by carrying out various responsibility as may be assigned by owners. Such responsibilities may include ensuring quick turnaround of the vessel and issuing letters of protest as may be applicable, reporting vessel/cargo status, checking timesheets for correctness, helping to ensure vessel documents are in order, checking Proforma Disbursement Accounts submitted by the head agent for compliance with applicable tariffs and the signing Bill of Laden.
